Ice Cream with Strawberries and Balsamic Vinegar Print E-mail

Liv was surprised, "Vinegar on strawberries?" Barilla's executive chef Lorenzo Boni explains that 12-year old balsamic vinegar has a slightly sweet taste and gives the strawberries an extra surprising ZING!

The amazing flavor of a balsamic vinegar comes from the quality of the grapes, the length of the aging process, and the types of wooden casks used.

Chef Lorenzo is using Academia Barilla's Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP. Read more about balsamic vinegars.

You can find a store near you that sells Academia Barilla's very fine 12-year old balsamic and learn a lot of amazing Italian recipes through their website.
