Who can enter the contest?
Any child under the age of 15 who is a legal resident of the United States is eligible to participate except children of employees of Spatulatta.com and Organic Valley, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate families of each. Contest is void where prohibited.
How can kids enter the contest?
To enter, submit an original butter recipe this can include, but is not limited to cakes, cookies, breads, desserts and even main dishes. Bring out your Holiday favorites. Recipes must use Organic Valley Salted or Unsalted Butter. All entries must be the original recipe of the contestant. Judges will disqualify previously published recipes, such as those in major cookbooks, in magazines, from food companies, and winners in national contests. Winner and winner's parent or legal guardian will be required to certify on information or belief, that contestant's recipe has not been published and has not won a national contest. Multiple entries will be accepted but prizes will be limited to one per child. All entries should include the entrant's name, age, address, and phone number.
How will the recipes be judged?
A panel of judges from Spatulatta.com and Organic Valley will review recipes. Only recipes using Organic Valley Butter will be considered. All recipe entries must be able to be prepared in 20 minutes or less not including cooking time. Recipes will be judged on the following criteria: 25% creativity & originality, 25% taste/appeal, 25% healthfulness and 25% ease of preparation. The entry with the highest overall score will be selected as the First Prize winner. One second prize winner and one Third prize winner will be selected receiving the next highest overall score. All decisions of the judges are final. In the event of a tie, a second recipe or other skill-based competition will be required to determine the winner. For Wisconsin residents only, in the event of a tie, duplicate prizes will be awarded.
What are the prizes?
THIRD Place Winner will receive:an Organic Valley Goodie Bag - containing a Recycled Frisbee, a Farm Friends Organic T-Shirt, a Fiesta Silpat Mini Rolling Pin, an Organic Valley Bandana, a YoYo, and "Honest Pretzels" Kids Cook Book by Mollie Katzen a book about making yummy food, but it's also about practicing reading, math and logic skills in a real-world environment and developing a sense of accomplishment that will build over a lifetime.

All entries become the property of sponsor and will not be returned. Submission of an entry grants Sponsor and its agents the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation, for commercial or non-commercial use, and without additional consideration to the entrant, except where prohibited by law. Submission of any entry further constitutes the entrant's consent to irrevocably assign and transfer to the sponsor any or all rights, title and interest in the entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, illegible, incomplete or postage-due mail/entries or for any human or technical error in the transmission or receipt of facsimile or electronic mail entries. Proof of posting does not constitute proof of receipt by Sponsor.
When will winners be notified?
Winners will be notified by mail or email by November 30, 2006. Except where prohibited, acceptance of prize constitutes winner's consent to the use of his/her name, likeness and biographical information, for advertising and promotional purposes, without limitation and without additional compensation. Winner's parent or legal guardian will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within 21 days of prize notification or prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. If prize notification or any prize is returned as undeliverable, the corresponding prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
