GOALS
To introduce children to new foods and expand their palates.
To make each Spatulatta "program" or set of five recipes
a complete meal with main dish, side dishes, a dessert or beverage,
and to include as many vegetables and fruits as possible in every
program, aiming for at least five.
To minimize use of refined white sugar and bleached white flour
(although we know we wouldn't have wanted to endure a childhood
devoid of cupcakes).
To introduce children to alternatives to foods with excess fat,
high sugar content or empty calories and guide them toward healthier,
more nutritious options.
To subtly help children develop capacity and skills in etiquette,
mathematics, history, culture and diversity whenever, wherever
and however possible.
To transform the chore of preparing meals into fun that can be
shared by the whole family.
Join us as we work toward a healthier future!
