{Makes 4-6 servings}
You'll need:
1 quart of vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup of Barilla balsamic vinegar
1 pint of fresh strawberries - sliced
A little adult help
Equipment:
A small sauce pan - preferably with a spout
Individual serving bowls
An ice cream scoop
A sharp knife
A cutting board
Pour the balsamic vinegar into a small sauce
pan. "Reduce" it over medium-low heat until it is the consistency of
thin chocolate syrup.
Rinse the strawberries under running water.
Ask Dad or whoever's helping you to please slice the strawberries.
Scoop the ice cream into the bowls.
Sprinkle the strawberry slices on top.
Drizzle about 1/2 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar over each dessert.
Serve! Mom will be so impressed by your gourmet dessert.
