Mary Kate's Pesto Pizza

Friday, January 11, 2008

This recipe for an individual, fresh, hot pizza came from Spatulatta viewer, Mary Kate. It's great for after school or any time you need a snack. The dash of lemon makes all the flavors zing.

Make it in the toast oven or micro the next time you're craving ZAH!

Ingredients:

1 large pita bread or flatbred
shreaded cheese
pizza sauce
pesto sauce
1 lemon wedge
minced garlic
cilrantro
olive oil

Directions:

Spread a small amount of oilve oil over the pita.
Spread on the pizza sauce and pesto.
Sprinkle on cheese, garlic and cilantro.
Squeeze lemon juice over pizza.
Bake until crust is brown and cheese is melted.

WoW! Great job, Mary Kate!
