Rice Pudding

This rice pudding is a favorite of Peruvian children...and adults too. It's quick and easy and oh so tasty!

You'll need:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Slices of mango - optional
  • A little adult help

Equipment:

  • Measuring cups
  • A medium-sized pot
  • A large spoon
  • Small serving bowls
  1. In a pot, boil 2 cups of water with 6 cloves.
  2. When water is boiling add the rice, and cook until rice is tender.
  3. When rice is cooked, add the milk, sugar and cinnamon stick. Cook for anonther 2 minutes.
  4. Serve with a dusting of ground cinnamon. Slice of mango make a great garnish.
